Should a bartender have a tip cup at a private event?

I'm a private mobile bartender. I do private parties. I wanted to know is it ok to have a tip cup at a private event or is it distasteful? If not, should the client be responsible for the tip? Should the tip be added in with the bartending fee/rate?
