Vauxhall omega phillips ccr 2006 cd problem?

i have just purchased an omega 51 reg with the 4 disc cd changer in the dash but there is no magazine i have seen them advertised but my worry is the ones advertised show the little flap to put the magazine in open from the top coming towards you to open but mine doesnt open at all from top or bottom is it knackered or will it only open when the magazine is being inserted although the last option is doubtfull i suspect please help thanks.
