I think that is the truth. Also Mithra was born on or about the 21st of December under similar cirstances --Virgin birth, etc. That is why the Roman Catholic Church put Xmas on the 25th, to capture some of the 3-day festivity surrounding Mithra. I think Mithra also rose from the dead, but I'm not sure.
