I ran into a curb with my car sideways?

I was driving carelessly, and I took a sharp turn to the right. my card skidded sideways to the left and my front left tire hit the curb. The damage is that 1/3 of the edge of the rim is scratched badly, the tire looks flat when it's actually not (I checked the pressure on both front tires and they were the same, 30 of some pressure unit :P), and the car moves forward straight only when the steering wheel is slightly turned to the right. I'm wondering what happened exactly and how I can get it fixed. Thanks you for helping :)
