I put my bearded dragon in a bigger cage and now he wont let me hold him like he use to, what do i do?

I had got him from my cousin and he was very sick, I kept him in a small cage tell he got better. He was all better now and would let me hold him all the time no problem. Now i put him in a big cage and he seemed ok at first now you get close and he runs away, poofs up and tries to bite. What should I do....just keep holding him and make him comfy again?
